JAMUE (aka Jana) is a singer and songwriter from Berlin. JAMUE’s music is characterized both by her unique, unmistakable voice and by her catchy, beautiful - yet often melancholic - songs. She writes these mostly at her piano, the instrument that has accompanied her throughout her entire life.

Thus, the piano also plays a pivotal role in shaping the sound of many of her songs. At the same time, JAMUE’s music reveals her deep love for the sounds of the 80s. JAMUE did not discover the music of the 80s until much later, as she was born during that decade and was, consequently, still too young to consciously take notice of artists such as Madonna, Sade, or Annie Lennox.

Once discovered, however, the love for the music of these artists and for the sound of the 80s proved enduring. So much so that these influences can still be clearly heard in JAMUES’s music today.

Born and raised in Berlin, JAMUE knew from childhood that she wanted to become a singer. She was always supported in this endeavor by her family. Consequently, she began learning the piano at the age of eight. And soon thereafter was already writing her first original songs.

In her early twenties, JAMUE stepped into a recording studio for the first time to record her own songs. Fueled by her goal of releasing her own music, various collaborations with different producers followed in the subsequent years. However, these mostly resulted only in minor releases.

Despite various disappointments and setbacks, JAMUE always remained steadfast in her goal and continued writing songs. Finally, in 2024, she decided to record and release all her songs, one by one. In 2025, she found the ideal musical partner in producer Peter Rose.

The first result of this collaboration consists of piano versions of several songs, which will be released under the name Piano Tapes. Accordingly, the first five songs will be released on July 17, 2026, as part of the EP Piano Tapes Vol. 1. The first single, When I Leave You, will be released on June 5, 2026.
